Ordnance Survey Folded Map - ONE INCH SERIES Sheet E129
Here is information about Sheet 129: One Inch Sheet 129 Hunstanton & The Wash 1907 - published 2007; intro by Alan Godfrey. ISBN.978-1-84151-968-5 This Inch to the Mile map is dominated by The Wash, so much of the coverage is rather 'watery'. It includes Lynn Deeps, Roaring Middle Lightship, Well Light Vessel, and many sandbanks. On the Lincolnshire side Wrangle is covered. On the Norfolk side coverage includes Hunstanton, Heacham, and Snettisham. However we also include Norfolk Sheet 5.08 which shows the seaside resort of New Hunstanton (formerly Hunstanton St Edmund) in detail and many will find this the most interesting part of the map. Features here include the station, Town Hall, Pier, Golden Lion Hotel, The Green, Sandringham Hotel, Esplanade Hall, Glebe Hotel, St Edmund's church. It is not possible to list the many hamlets, farmsteads and other topographical features shown on these maps. However, you may find it useful if we list the towns and principal villages or church parishes that are included on this map. Links are given for those for which detailed large-scale maps are also available. Lincolnshire: Wrangle Norfolk: Heacham, Hunstanton, New Hunstanton, Snettisham
