This Inch to the Mile map covers the area from Maidstone eastward to Charing and southward to Headcorn. The small town of Lenham is also included. Featurs include the River Medway, various railways, the River Beult, etc. The introduction by Barrie Trinder gives an overview of the industrial development of the area, also noting that "the area has throughout history been attractive to the rich and powerful". On the reverse is a detailed map of Eyhorne Street and part of Hollingbourne, including the station, All Saints church, Godfrey House, Eyhorne Green.
