Here are the details of maps for Stratford, London E15: London Sheet 42.1 Stratford 1867 - published 2002, revised diretory 2013; intro by David Mander. ISBN.978-1-84151-467-3 London Sheet 42.2 Stratford 1893 - published 1985; intro by Howard Bloch. ISBN.978-0-85054-012-3 London Sheet 42.3 Stratford 1914 - published 1991; intro by Alan Godfrey. ISBN.978-0-85054-381-0 The three versions of this map show how the area developed across the years, becoming more built up. The maps each cover the same area, stretching from Hackney Cut Navigation and the River Lea eastward to Romford Road and Carnarvon Road; from Temple Mills Lane and Chandos Road southward to Lett Road and Langthorne Street. The map has a lot of railway information, including Stratford, Maryland and Stratford Market stations, and the GER Railway Works, sidings and loops north of the station; an essential map for students of the Great Eastern Railway. The town is also shown in detail, the 1867 version especially attractive. Other features include tramways, Stratford New Town, Stratford Marsh, Broadway, Waterworks River, Town Hall. Much more building by 1914 when roads include High Street, The Grove, Leytonstone Road, Vicarage Lane, and countless more. Each map also has short extracts from contemporary directories. An area that is likely to change greatly over the next few years.

Reduced from the original Ordnance Survey 1:2,500 map to a scale of approximately 1:4,340 (or about 15" to the mile). Published by Alan Godfrey Maps, Leadgate, Consett
