Ordnance Survey Folded Map - ONE INCH SERIES Sheet E005
Here is information about Sheet 5: One Inch Sheet 5 The Cheviot 1901-13 - published 1999; intro by John Griffiths. ISBN.978-1-84151-057-6 This Inch to the Mile map covers a rural area of Northumberland. This is border country, but please note that the Scottish part of the map is left blank. The map shows an area from The Cheviot southward to Biddlestone Hall, and on the reverse we include an extract from a large scale map, showing Biddlestone Hall and Bleakmoor Hill. It is not possible to list the many hamlets, farmsteads and other topographical features shown on these maps. However, you may find it useful if we list the towns and principal villages or church parishes that are included on this map. Links are given for those for which detailed large-scale maps are also available. Northumberland: Alwinton, Biddleston, Burradon, Clennell, Grey's Forest, Selby's Forest, The Cheviot.
