Ordnance Survey Folded Map - Lancashire Sheet LA103.12C
We have published three versions of this map, showing how the area changed across the years. The 1888 and 1905 maps show Trafford Park when it was still parkland, with Trafford Hall near the centre of the map. By the time of the 1937 map many major industries have arrived, along with a railway network. Features (from the 1937 map) include Trafford Hall, Bridgewater Canal, Manchester Ship Canal, Soap Works, Corn Product Works, Tea Warehouse, Ocean Iron Works, Anaconda Mills, Steel Works, Asbestos Works and much more, together with an extensive rail network.
Reduced from the original Ordnance Survey 1:2,500 map to a scale of approximately 1:4,340 (or about 15" to the mile). This edition published by Alan Godfrey Maps, Leadgate, Consett
